"...We have just completed an upgrade to our Water SCADA with Best Systems. Best Systems met with us on several occasions to seek input from us and met us at some of their recent customer locations to show us similar completed projects. Our existing Water controls communicated over dial-up phone lines and had been mostly trouble free. Best Systems was willing to use the same communication lines, but they insisted we look at a few radio systems already installed. We decided to go with the radio system after completing an extensive radio path survey. The Water system is now working well and much faster on UHF radio. The polling statistics are great and were not reduced during a recent snowstorm. An Ethernet/Radio link was installed between the Water and WWTP SCADA systems which has allowed us to combine the two Wonderware systems. Since we use the same personnel for both plants, this is proving to be much appreciated by our staff..."
